  2. Food and/or gum are not permitted in the studios. Bottled water is acceptable.

  3. Emergency closings are posted on our website, Facebook, and the DDA app.

  4. Our dress code must be followed at all times while attending class. No jewelry may be worn during dance class.

  5. All students are encouraged not to leave the room once class has begun. Please have your dancer use the restroom prior to class. Very young children will be treated sensitively as the need arises. Preschool children may need a parent's attention from time to time, including bathroom or behavior issues.

  6. All dancers must be respectful and refrain from being disruptive during class. Honor your teacher & fellow students by giving your full attention and cooperation.

  7. If a student becomes ill or sustains an injury & cannot participate in class, parents will be notified immediately.

  8. Observers are not allowed in the studios during class time. Class observation is available via closed circuit cameras in the lobby for all studios.

  9. If the studio is closed due to a state of emergency, all classes will resume via Zoom.

Dance class is fun and educational, however, an important part of class is developing an attitude of discipline and respect for teachers and fellow students. We trust that following our classroom etiquette will provide an environment whereby classes at Davy Dance Academy will be a pleasure for all concerned.

Upcoming Recital Information

  • Our recital typically will take place in mid-June. time and location are based on availability and are to be determined. In an effort to keep recitals short, there will be three DDA recitals. Each class performs in only 1 recital. Company dancers perform in both recital and the company showcase. If your child is enrolled in more than 1 class, we cannot guarantee that each class will be in the same recital. Specific rehearsal dates and times will be available in February. Each dance family will receive a recital handbook at that time with more specific information.

  • All dress rehearsals are mandatory so please do not schedule family vacations during the two weeks leading to recital.

Annual Recital Fees & Payment Schedule

  • All dancers are strongly encouraged to participate in our annual recital. In October, we will ask for a recital commitment. All recital decisions for newly enrolled students must be made before March 10. After March 10th, we will be unable to accommodate your dancer for recital.
